Yes… another U.S. Nuclear plant bit the dust last month as the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Michigan permanently shut down after more than 50 years of operation. This is a BIG DEAL as the Palisades alone provided Michigan with 5.6% of its total electricity power supply. Also, I will be a part of a Palisades Radio Twitter Spaces chat with Doomberg, and The Market Sniper on Friday at 1 pm EST, May 10th.
Here is a link to the Twitter spaces Live Chat tomorrow: Palisades Radio SRSroccoReport, Doomberg, & TheMarket Sniper Chat.
You need to have a Twitter account to listen live to the Twitter Spaces chat. If you DO NOT have a Twitter account, you may want to consider getting one because I plan on doing more of these, including hosting them in the future with guest speakers. If you don’t have or do not want a Twitter account, you can wait until Tom at Palisades Radio publishes a Youtube version of the live chat.
Entergy, the owner of the Palisades Nuclear Power plant, decided to shut down the plant because it lost nearly $200 million a year (based on 2020 data) versus the typical natural gas generation plant. However, with natural gas prices now triple what they were in 2020, nuclear power may be more economical. Regardless, Entergy ceased operations at the Palisades Nuclear Plant on May 20th and will be selling the plant to Holtec International for decommissioning, which will cost an estimated $630 million and won’t be complete until 2041.
I will be discussing some of the details behind Michigan’s planned nuclear and coal plant retirements for 2022 and 2023 during the Twitter spaces chat, but will likely do a Subscriber Video on this information because it is very important. Michigan plans to lose STABLE Nuclear & Coal power by adding more “JUST-IN-TIME” natural gas and VOLATILE wind-solar power.

Steve, I won’t be tuning in live tomorrow both because I have other things going on and because I just don’t have any interest in using Twitter. That said, I love hearing you on Podcasts and I really wish you’d do more of them. Especially with credible creators like Doomberg and Tom at Palisades. Just wanted to let you know I’ll be listening when Tom releases the audio version on his podcast and let you know your audience is much larger than just those who can tune in live.
Steve, My Twitter account was shut down for some reason unknown to me. I am not a ‘tweet’ person. Nonetheless, I made some transgression, likely imagined by their censors, at some point unbeknown to me at some point in the now distant past.
Censorship is the new American way of life, loved by many as it silences dissent.
Possibly I can find the podcast.
My purpose in writing is to let you know Twitter does not necessarily reach the audience you imagine it reaches, and you have subscribers who are ‘Twitter-banned’. For some of us, this is worn as a badge of honor.
Best always
I think I read it will later be loaded to YouTube.
By the way, if someone is shut down on Twitter, FB, or YouTube for anything other than real hatred or threats, yeah its censorship.
And when one’s typed or posted content threatens one or more of the following:
*Government or shadow governments’ [e.g. banking/financial organizations, pharmaceutical industry, lobbyists etc.] power or control, authoritarianism, totalitarianism, official doctrine, ideology, policies, profit margins, control of health care [regardless of factual science], etc…
It’s only a matter of time before your account is cautioned or suspended by AI bots…and sometimes it’s escalated to human decisions.
You do not need to have a Twitter account to listen in to a live chat at Twitter Spaces. It’s a free access thing.
Steve,
Here are some ideas for other avenues to reach an interested audience outside of mainstream social media channels:
gab.com
gettr.com
bitchute.com
brighteon.com
odysee.com
rumble.com
telegram.org
It might be worth considering putting out some content there as well, even duplicate your stuff from youtube, twitter and podcasts.
My strong feeling is to use none of these ‘media’ channels…
We’re heading over the energy cliff. Retiring nuclear power plants while we still can is not a bad strategy.
The oldest ones anyway…
But if the decommission has reached the point where explosion or leak of radioactive water can’t happen, maybe it isn’t economically or energy feasible to further deconstruct them.
They will stand, like dead wind turbines, as silent sentinels to an age gone by.
Today, without large state funds, no market-oriented company will decide to build a new nuclear power plant and correctly calculate and fund all these costs.
People who are still hoping for new facilities are planning with more socialism, or want to strengthen military defenses (Iran).
I’m just commenting here to agree with the people here who have said that there are other avenues than Twitter. I couldn’t agree more.
Same here. I will never join any of these platforms that holds the ability to censor.
Feel free BigAI,
the link also works without an account! https://mobile.twitter.com/PalisadesRadio/status/1533902000756207616
I have been having some quiet time of late. The following is a book I have been reading during this time. It comes under two titles.
“The Crash Of FLIGHT 3804” and
“Follow The PIPELINES”
Both titles are the same book!
By, Charlotte Dennett
“The most extraordinary historical account of pipeline politics and the blood-drenched Great Game for Oil ever written. Investigative reporter Charlotte Dennett’s tenacious, decades-long quest to uncover the truth about the death of her father—America’s first master spy in the Middle East—has resulted in a riveting saga replete with previously hidden details about the powerful characters, countries, and corporations locked in vicious perpetual competition to control the world’s oil”.

Puts another perspective on todays events. How would you ever know the TRUTH?
Your email was appreciated Steve, thanks.
RedOpal,
Your comments were missed, nice to have you back.
RedOpal,
Good to see you post again!
I need to say this because for some reason Twitter wouldn’t let me visit the live interview and still can’t watch it. So I have to say Twitter SUCKS!
Same here. They rejected new PW two times, thats enough. Can do without.Twitter.
